Conclusions
-
1.
Discussion is given of the possibility of complications in the mass spectrometric analysis of the products from the radiolysis of deuterated hydrocarbons.
-
2.
A method for estimating the ratio of the isotopic forms of hydrogen, and the deuterium content of the water, is suggested.
-
3.
The principal gaseous products from the radiolysis of glucose, polyglucin, and dextrin have been identified, and their yields estimated.
