Conclusions
-
1.
Rate constants have been determined for the reactions of cumyl peroxide radicals with diethylene glycol dicaprylate and pentaerythrite tetravalerate by measuring the rates of oxidation of these in the presence of cumyl peroxide.
-
2.
An additive scheme of calculating reactivities from known values of partial rate constants is not applicable to reactions of cumyl peroxide radicals with polyatomic esters.
