Conclusions

  1. 1.

The79Br NQR spectra of a number of dibromo (dialky lamino)boranes and dibromo(diphenylamino)-borane were measured. A correlation was found to exist between the79Br NQR frequencies of the dibromoaminoboranes and the length of the hydrocarbon chain R on the nitrogen atom.

  2. 2.

A substantial degree of double bonding of the boron-nitrogen bond exists in the dibromoaminoboranes.
