EPR spectra of chelate complexes of 3,6-di-tert-butyl-1,2-benzoquinone with halides of group III elements

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    The reaction of 3,6-di-tert-butyl-1,2-benzoquinone with the halides of the Group III elements leads to paramagnetic chelate complexes.

  2. 2.

    A simple method was proposed for determining the relative stability of the chelate bond in the halide complexes of o-semiquinones, and the order of their stability in THF is given.
