Summary
-
1.
As a result of theoretical and experimental investigations of various oxidation -reduction and other processes, a new, complex-conversion method of chemical treatment of oxides, silicates, and mixed ores of iron-group metals has been developed.
-
2.
The developed method is distinguished by a combination of favorable physicochemical conditions for simultaneous high intensity not only of various reactions of chemical treatment of the mineral stock, but also of physicochemical processes of progressive regeneration of the reagent-solvents required for this, which have enhanced reactivity in hydrometallurgical processes.
-
3.
The physicochemical foundations of the developed method are set forth, and the operation factors, which make for its high intensity, efficiency, and technological suitability are brought about.
-
4.
Substantial advantages of the proposed method over the previously developed sulfuric acid and ammonia processes, used on a manufacturing scale by industry abroad, are shown.
