    1,5-Diketones are the first products of the hydrogenolysis of 2-alkyl-5-acylfurans on platinized carbon or platinized asbestos at. 200–300‡ and atmospheric pressure.

  2. 2.

    A method was proposed for the catalytic synthesis of 1,5-diketones from 2-alkyl-5-acylfurans.
