Synthesis and polymerization of p-butyl- and p-butyryl-phenyl methacrylates Communication 2

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Summary

  1. 1.

All the isomeric p-butyl- and p-butyryl-phenyl methacrylates were synthesized and characterized for the first time.

  2. 2.

The effect of the structure of the substituent in p-butyl- and p-butyryl-phenyl methacrylates on the properties of the polymers obtained from them (solubility, glass temperature, and conversion) was demonstrated.
