Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Summary

  1. 1.

A study was made of the kinetics of the change in the composition of the products of the polycondensation of glycine ethyl ester.

  2. 2.

Rate constants were calculated for the consumption of monomer at different relative concentrations of carbamate, and the activation energy for the addition of monomer to peptides was calculated.

  3. 3.

An examination was made of the causes of the differences in the kinetics of the polycondensation of α-amino ester when initiated by carbon dioxide and when initiated by carbamate.
