Summary
-
1.
It was shown that intermolecular condensation reactions can be carried out in presence of H2PtCl6 between a symmetrical tetraalkyldisiloxane and 1) dialkenyldialkylsilanes with formation of polymers in which the repeating unit contains one disiloxane residue and 2) symmetrical dialkenyltetralkyldisiloxanes with formation of polymers in which the repeating unit contains two disiloxane residues.

2.
The new kinds of polymers, in which Si-C and Si-O links alternate in the main chain, are viscous liquids of molecular weight 800–900, and the temperature-dependence of the viscosity is low.
