Summary

  1. 1.

Determinations were made of the radiational yields of hydrochloric acid in aqueous chloroacetic acid solutions ranging widely in concentrations, when irradiated with accelerated electrons.

  2. 2.

A possible mechanism for the radiolytic formation of hydrochloric acid in aqueous chloroacetic acid solutions was discussed.
