Summary
-
1.
The behavior of 1,4-dichlorobutane in direct synthesis was investigated. It was shown that the main reaction product is 1,1-dichlorosilacyclopentane.
-
2.
The reaction of 1,1-dichlorosilacyclopentane with sulfuryl chloride, acetic anhydride, allylmagnesium bromide, and aqueous alkali were studied.
-
3.
1,1,3-Trichlorosilacyclopentane, which is formed in the chlorination of 1,1-dichlorosilacyclopentane, undergoesΒ-decomposition with opening of the ring when it reacts with a Grignard reagent.
