Acetylation of polyvinyl alcohol by telomers of vinyl ethers

Conclusions

  1. 1.

    Telomers of vinyl ethers containing andα-halogen ester groups can be used for obtaining acetals of polyvinyl alcohol.

  2. 2.

    We have obtained polyacetals containing up to 30% chlorine.
