  1. 1.

    aci-1,1,1,3-Tetranitroalkanes, prepared by the action of trinitromethane on 2-nitro-1-alkenes, can be isomerized into the corresponding true nitro compounds.

  2. 2.

    A general method was developed for the synthesis of 1,1,1,3-tetranitroalkanes.
