Structure of the products of reaction between benzoyl peroxide and vinyl ethers

Summary

  1. 1.

    In a medium of vinyl ether, benzoyl peroxide decomposes into benzoyloxy radicals, which bring about the telomerization of the vinyl ether.

  2. 2.

    In petroleum ether and in acetaldehyde the dibutyl acetal reaction proceeds by the RH scheme.
