Summary

  1. 1.

The reforming of the 89.5–126° fraction of the gasoline of Volga-Urals petroleum was carried out in presence of four samples of palladized aluminum silicate (0.5% Pd) differing in specific surface.

  2. 2.

Catalysts 1 and 2 had high initial aromatizing power (up to 40% of aromatic hydrocarbons was formed in the catalyzates) and considerable stability.

  3. 3.

In addition to aromatization, almost complete desulfurization of the original fraction was observed over all the catalysts investigated.

  4. 4.

The considerable content of aromatic hydrocarbons in the catalyzates obtained in the reforming of the 89.5–126° fraction over catalysts 1 and 2 indicates that not only cyclohexanes, but also cyclopentanes and nalkanes, are concerned in the aromatization process.
