Abstract
Three new cobalt(III) chelates of the type [Co(ec) (amine)2]+ (ec·H2=the tetradentateSchiff base: ethylenediimino-bisacetylacetone,Amine=ethylamine, n-propylamine, allylamine) were obtained by air oxidation of the components in dil. alcoholic solutions. 30 new complex satls of these chelates were prepared by double decomposition reactions.
From spectroscopical investigations in the UV and IR regions some structural problems are resolved and discussed.
