1.
The activation energies (E) of reactions of stripping of a hydrogen atom for the C-H and O-H groups by peroxide and alkoxyl radicals were calculated according to the bond energy-bond order method. The calculation gives low values for the activation energy. An empirical formula was proposed for a more accurate calculation of E.

2.
A formula was derived for the reaction of RO2·+RH, where RH is a hydrocarbon, permitting calculation of the rate constant of this reaction according to the cleavage energy of the C-H bond.
