  1. 1.

    The reaction of boron trichloride with bis-1,4-(3-methylboracyclopentyl)-2-methylbutane gave 1-chloro-3-methylboracyclopentane.

    Symmetrization occurs when bis-1,4-(dichloroboron)-2-methylbutane is heated, with die formation of 1-chloro-3-methylboracyclopentane and boron trichloride.

     
  3. 3.

    A study was made of the replacement of the chlorine atom in 1-chloro-3-methylboracyclopentane by the alkoxy group, hydrogen, and alkyl.
