Photochemical studies of vicinally substituted tertiary alkyl azides

Abstract

The photochemical behaviour of several of the title class of compounds was studied, and the results correlated with the various views concerning the mechanism of alkyl azide photolysis. The results of photolysis oft-butyl azide differ from those described in the literature.

Zusammenfassung

Das photochemische Verhalten einiger Titelverbindungen wird untersucht. Die Ergebnisse werden mit den verschiedenen mechanistischen Anschauungen über die Photolyse von Alkylaziden korreliert. Die Photolyse vont-Butylazid liefert andere Ergebnisse, als in der Literatur beschrieben.
