Summary

  1. 1.

    Reaction of divinyl ether with hexachlorocyclopentadiene gives, depending on the experimental conditions, varying yields of mono-and diadducts. Their properties are studied.

     
  2. 2.

    Attention is drawn to some differences between the characteristics of the resulting vinyl hexachlorobicycloheptenyl ether (monoadduct) and those of previously known vinyl ethers. These differences arise from the nature of the hexachlorobicycloheptenyl radical.
