Conclusions

The condensation of diethyl N-alkyl-N-hydroxymethylphosphoramidates (alkyl groups — ethyl, propyl, butyl) with methyl alcohol and with propyl, isopropyl, and butyl mercaptans has given the corresponding N-alkyl-N-methoxymethyl and N-alkyl-N-alkylthiomethyl derivatives of diethyl phosphoramidate, and these compounds have been characterized.

The reaction of acetyl chloride with the N-ethyl and N-butyl derivatives of diethyl N-hydroxymethylphosphoramidate has given the corresponding N-alkyl-N-acetoxymethylphosphoramidates.
