1. Synthesis of some 4-(amnomethyl)-2,6-di-t-butylphenols

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Summary

  1. 1.

4-(Dialkylaminomethyl)-2,6-di-t-butylphenols were synthesized by two methods: by the Mannich re action from 2,6-di-t-butylphenol, and by the alkylation of secondary amines with the aid of 4-(bromomethyl)- 2, 6-di-t-butylphenol.

  2. 2.

The behavior of 4-(bromomethyl)-2,6-di-t-butylphenol in some alkylation reactions was studied.
