Summary

  1. 1.

A study was made of some reactions for the introduction of oxidized side chain for the case of the two epimeric 4-ethynyldecahydro-1,2-dimethyl-4-quinolinols, which were prepared by the condensation of octahydro-1,2-dimethyl-4(lH)-quinolone with acetylene in liquid ammonia.

  2. 2.

Two isomeric 4-acetyldecahydro-1,2-dimethyl-4-quinolinols, 4-(bromoacetyl)decahydro-1,2-dimethyl-4-quinolinol, and two isomeric 4-(epoxyethyl)decahydro-1,2-dimethyl-4-quinolinols were synthesized.
