Synthesis of alkenylsilanes by the addition of dichloromethylsilane to dienic and acetylenic compounds

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Summary

  1. 1.

In presence of Speier's catalyst dichloromethylsilane adds to piperylene in the 1,4-positions with formation of dichloromethyl (1-methyl-2-butenyl)silane.

  2. 2.

The addition of CH3SiCl2H to various monosubstituted derivatives of acetylene proceeds in such a way that the silyl group adds exclusively to the hydrogenated carbon atom participating in the triple bond.
