2-Cyclopenten-1-ylphosphonic esters and some of their derivatives

  • Published:
Bulletin of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Division of chemical science Aims and scope

Summary

  1. 1.

By the action of sodium dialkyl phosphites on 3-chlorocyclopentene, 2-cyclopenten-1-ylphosphonic esters were synthesized.

  2. 2.

By the oxidation of the resulting esters with peroxyacetic acid the corresponding epoxides were prepared. Hydration of the esters gave trans-2,3-dihydroxycyclopentylphosphonic esters.
