Summary
-
1.
The action of sulfur, selenium, and sulfur chloride on trialkylaluminums was studied.
-
2.
In the reaction of one g-atom of sulfur with one mole of trialkylaluminum the dialkyl (alkylthio) aluminum is formed; in the reaction of two and more gatoms of sulfur with one mole of trialkylaluminum the main reaction products are the corresponding disulfides, sulfides, and polysulfides; products of structure RAl (SR)2 and Al (SR)3 are not formed.
