Summary
-
1.
Ethyleneaminocarbinol does not react with alcohols, and, in view of this, its production by the interaction of ethyleneimine with an alcoholic solution of formaldehyde has been developed.
-
2.
Different types of reaction of ethyleneaminocarbinols with diazo compounds have been found: ethylene-aminocarbinol reacts in the carbonium form and α-(trichlorylmethyl)-ethylenearmnocarbinol reacts in the imonium form.
-
3.
α-(Methyl)-ethyleneaminocarbinol takes part in the 1-ethyleneaminoalkylation of secondary amines.M
