Synthesis of some derivatives of 2-benzimidazolemethanethiol

Summary

Ten new S-derivatives of 2-benzimidazolemethanethiol were synthesized by the reaction of the sodium or potassium salt of 2-benzimidazolemethanethiol with alkyl or aryl halides containing, in some cases, functional groups.
