Conclusions

1.
The dimethylaminomethylation of methylferrocene has been carried out. 2-, 3-, and 1'-(N,N-dimethylaminomethyl)-1-methylferrocenes and 1',3-di- (N,N-dimethylaminomethyl)-1-methylferrocene have been isolated.
-
2.
The methiodides of these amines have been obtained and have been reduced to the di- and trimethylferrocenes.
