Conclusions

  1. 1.

The problem of equilibrium adsorption dynamics with the calculation of longitudinal diffusion has been studied for the limiting case of a rectangular isotherm.

  2. 2.

An approximate solution to this problem for constant flux velocity, which permits us to correctly estimate the time of onset of the parallel-transport region, has been obtained.

  3. 3.

An exact solution to the same problem for the case when the flux velocity is inversely proportional to the square root of the time has been found.
