Conclusions
-
1.
Cationic copolymerization of epichlorohydrin (ECH) and tetrahydrofuran (THF) in a block on the Al(C2H5)3-ECH and Al(C2H5)3-H2O-ECH catalyst systems was investigated. In both cases THF is a more reactive monomer than ECH.

2.
The yield and molecular weight of the copolymer depends substantially on the composition of the monomer mixture and the nature and amount of catalyst used.
