Conclusions
-
1.
Aluminum -lanthanum -chromium- potassium catalysts, containing 5, 20, and 30% chromium oxide, were investigated in the synthesis of thiophene from n-butane and hydrogen sulfide.
-
2.
X--ray diffraction study of the catalysts before and after their work indicated that in catalysts containing 20 and 30% chromium oxide, the cubic phase after catalysis represents a saturated solid solution of α-Cr2O3 in γ-Al2O3.
-
3.
Additions of potassium and lanthanum oxides do not introduce any appreciable changes into the phase composition of the catalysts in comparison with the pure aluminochromium catalyst.
