Synthesis of β-carboranylacrylic acids

Conclusions

A method is presented for synthesis ofβ-carboranylacrylic acids by hydrolysis with concentrated sulfuric acid of 1, 1-dichloro-3-ethoxy-3-carboranyl-1-propenes, which are obtained from carboranyllithiums and 1, 1, 3-trichloro-3-ethoxy-1-propene.
