Conclusions
-
1.
A theoretical analysis was made of the vibrational spectrum of the methanol molecule: the force field was determined, and the frequencies and shapes of the normal vibrations of the CH3OH, CH3OD, CD3OH, CD3OD molecules were calculated.
-
2.
The nature of the spectral changes in the IR spectrum of methanol adsorbed on the surface of the catalyst was discussed, bringing in the vibration theory.
