X-ray determination of the structural formula of one of the isomeric tetrabromonaphthalenes

Summary

  1. 1.

    It was shown by x-ray studies that 1,4,5,8-tetrabromonaphthalene prepared by Dhar actually is the 1,3,5,7-isomer.

  2. 2.

    The structure of 1,3,5,7-tetrabromonaphthalene was determined by projection of electron density on the ac facet.
