Zusammenfassung

Es werden verschiedene Möglichkeiten beschrieben, von Methionin ausgehend zu Äthylmethioninol zu gelangen. Bei den angewendeten Reduktionen mit LIAlH4 und LiBH4 konnte niemals eine Abspaltung der Methylmercaptangruppe beobachtet werden, die auf Grund einer Literaturangabe erwartet werden konnte.
