Conclusions

    The reactions of the acetate, hydrochloride and iodomethylate of the o-cresol Mannich base with triethylphosphite have been studied.

  2. 2.

    2-Oxy-2-alkoxy-l-oxa-7-methyl-2-phosphaindanes are the main products of these reactions.
