Conclusions

The condensation of 1,5-dihydroorganotrisiloxanes with organosilanols using catalytic quantities of KOH has been studied.

Using diorganosilanediols this reaction leads to the synthesis of organocyclosiloxanes with diorganosiloxane groups in known positions in the ring.
