Conclusions

4-(2-Methyloxazolyl)-, 4-(2-methylthiazolyl)-, and 2-indolylcyclopentadienylmanganesetricarbonyl were synthesized fromα-bromoacetylcyclopentadienylmanganesetricarbonyl.

All three heterocyclic substituents, judging from the NMR and IR spectra, are electron-acceptors in comparison to cyclopentadienylmanganesetricarbonyl.
