Conclusions

  1. 1.

The kinetics of the reaction of initiation and the reactions of chain transfer and propagation in the telomerization of ethylene with carbon tetrachloride were studied on a circulating apparatus with a multiplier.

  2. 2.

From the pressure of 100 atm to a pressure of 140 atm, the order of the reaction of initiation with respect to hydrogen changes from zero to one with an increase in the activation energy from 11 to 17 kcal/mole.

  3. 3.

Within the pressure interval 140–300 atm, the order with respect to hydrogen is equal to one for the initiation reaction, while there is a compensation effect between the parameters of the Arrhenius equation.

  4. 4.

Within the pressure range studied, the differences of the energies and entropies of activation of the reactions of chain transfer and propagation increase with increasing pressure at which the reaction is conducted.
