Summary

  1. 1.

    The reaction between butylorthotitanates and dimethylcyclosiloxanes yields low-molecular weight organosilicon monomers.

  2. 2.

    A method of synthesizing the difficultly obtainable 1,3-dibutoxytetramethyldisiloxane is proposed.
