Synthesis of manganese tert-butylcyclopentadienyltri-garbonyl and its derivatives

Summary

Manganese tert-butylcyclopentadienyltricarbonyl was prepared by the alkylation of manganese cyclopentadienyltricarbonyl according to Friedel-Crafts. Acetylation of manganese tert-butylcyclopentadienyltricarbonyl gave manganese acetyl-tert-butylcyclopentadienyltricarbonyl and manganese benzoyl-tert-butylcyclopentadienyl-tricarbonyl.
