Dispersion azo dyes on the basis of aminobenzimidazolone

Abstract

New dispersion azo dyes were prepared on the basis of 5-amino- and 5,6-diaminobenzimidazolone by diazotisation and coupling, esp. with α-naphthol and naphthol AS. The new compounds are suitable for dying of polyamide, polyester, polyacrylonitrile and acetate fibers in pink, orange, brown and red-violet colours.
