Abstract
α-Acyl-α-alkylmethylenetriphenylphosphoranes (C6H5)3P=C(COR1)(R2) react with acetyl azide to give 4-R1-5-R2-N-acetyl-1,2,3-triazoles, where R1 is an unsaturated lower alkyl or an ethoxy group. The same reaction products are formed by acylation and subsequent treatment with sodium azide. Only in the case of the phosphoroylene1g the two-step modification of the reaction leads to the β-azidovinylcarbonyl compound2g. The β-azidoacrylester2d, however, is formed from the phosphoroylene1h in either way.
