Das polarographische Verhalten von Europium in Abhängigkeit vom Lösungsmittel und Leitsalz

Zusammenfassung

Polarographische Untersuchungen von Europium(III)perchlorat wurden in Acetonitril, Propandiol-1,2-carbonat, Trimethylphosphat, N,N-Dimethylformamid, N,N-Dimethylacetamid und Dimethylsulfoxid mit verschiedenen Leitsalzen ausgeführt. DieE _1/2, Diffusionskoeffizienten, Diffusionsstromkonstanten und die Reversibilität oder Irreversibilität der elektrochemischen Vorgänge werden angegeben. Auch bei Verwendung der Leitsalze mit komplexierenden Anionen wurde eine lineare Beziehung zwischenE _1/2 der Europiumwelle Eu(III)—Eu(II) und der Donorzahl des Lösungsmittels gefunden. Die Reihung der untersuchten Anionen in der Donorzahlreihung der Lösungsmittel lautet:

Abstract

Polarographic investigations on europium(III)perchlorate were carried out in acetonitrile, propanediol-1,2-carbonate, trimethylphosphate, N,N-dimethylformamide, N,N-dimethylacetamide and dimethyl sulfoxide.E _1/2, the diffusion coefficients, the diffusion current constants and the reversibility or irreversibility of the electrochemical reactions are given. A linear relationship was found betweenE _1/2 for the wave Eu(III)—Eu(II) and the donor number of the solvent investigated even when the supporting electrolyte contained a complexing anion. The donor strength of the anions and that of the solvent molecules increases in the following order:
