Conclusions
A convenient method of obtaining partially substituted 2-desoxy-2-amino sugars with a free hydroxyl group at C3 has been developed using the synthesis of benzylidene derivatives of 2-methyl-(or phenyl)-4,5; 1′2′-glyco-Δ2-oxazolines as examples.
