Complexes of o-hydroxybenzoylhydrazide with some rare earth elements

Abstract

The o-hydroxybenzoylhydrazide complexes of some rare earch elements of the general formulaM(o-Bh)3·3H2O (whereM=La, CeIII and Y) were isolated. These compounds were identified by elementary analysis and characterized by thermogravimetric analysis and I.R. spectroscopy. It was concluded, that the coordination sites are occupied by the phenolic hydroxyl, the carbonyl oxygen and the nitrogen from the primary amino group.

Zusammenfassung

Es wurden die Verbindungen einiger Seltenerdelemente mit o-Hydroxybenzoylhydrazid der ZusammensetzungM(o-Bh)3·3H2O (M=La, CeIII und Y) hergestellt und durch analytische Daten, thermische Stabilität und IR-Absorptionsspektren charakterisiert. Es wurde gezeigt, daß in die Koordination außer dem phenolischen Hydroxyl der Carbonylsauerstoff und der in der primären Aminogruppe befindliche Stickstoff eintritt.
