Polarographic study of complex formation of lead with ethylenediamine

Abstract

The complexing of Pb++ by ethylenediamine was studied polarographically. It was found that a single complex ion, Pb[en]2 ++, is formed. The instability constant was found to beK=(2.63±0.36)·10−9, i.e. pK=8.58±0.45.

Zusammenfassung

Die Komplexbildung von Pb++ mit Äthylendiamin wurde polarographisch untersucht und festgestellt, daß ein einziges Komplexion Pb[en]2 ++ gebildet wird. Die Unbeständigkeitskonstante wurde zuK=(2,63±0,36)·10−9 bzw. pK=8,58±0,45 bestimmt.
