Zusammenfassung

GeO2 löst in der Quarzform in großem Ausmaße SiO2 (rund 60–70 Mol%). Die Mischkristalle lassen sich zweckmäßig aus zeolithischen Ammonium-Silikogermanaten durch Erhitzen herstellen. Ein homogener Übergang konnte auch durch unmittelbare Reaktion der Komponenten nicht erreicht werden; dabei nimmt SiO2 (α-Quarz) etwas GeO2 in fester Lösung auf. Im zeolithischen Kaliumgermanat kann Ge durch Sn teilweise ersetzt werden.
