Zusammenfassung

Umsetzungen von Borax mit Flußsäure und von Ammoniumhydrogenfluorid mit Borsäure wurden auf die Bildung der angeblich existierenden Salze des komplexen Anions [O(BF3)4]2− überprüft. Es entstehen jedoch nur Fluoro- und Fluorohydroxoborate, die Existenz der „Fluoxyborate” kann nicht bestätigt werden.
